It might be in the centre of Gastown's comings and goings, but Gastronomy Gastown occupies its own ultra modern, glamorous world. Dynamic is one way to describe it. The domed roof and endless dining halls give it an almost outer-space feeling, complimented by an understated colour palette of greys, creams and cold blues. Indeed, their approach to decor reflects their contemporary take on Italian cuisine, as you will find out shortly.

So, what does this cross-globe pairing look like? Well, for starters, you can graze on the likes of zucchini raviolo, the aptly named Legends pork and leek sausage or even a house salad if you're worried about ruining your appetite. For mains, they're keeping it really simple with two pasta dishes. Aside from their beautiful homemade gnocchi, they also offer a mighty 20-layer lasagna that is stacked with beef ragu, fior di latte and lashings of creamy ricotta and grana padano.

As for the pizzas, they're embracing their experimental side with a smoked bacon and pistachio pairing, candied mushrooms with a truffle cheese and lemon cream, and a carrot bonanza with carrot puree, pickled carrot and a touch of basil.
